The Arlington Memorial Gardens will host its second annual Earth Day celebration that is open and free to the community. The festivities begin Saturday, April 27, at 2 p.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m. in the large open field adjacent to Ronald Reagan Highway.
Games and activities featured at the event include:
- The Cincinnati Zoo’s “Zoo on the Move” Mix and Mingle
- Recycle toss
- Sack races
- Plant-your-own “take home” seedling
- Bubble station
- Create-your-own Earth bracelets
- Children’s yoga
- Professional beekeeper explaining the importance of bees and pollination for our environment
- Rumpke Recycling mascot
The event offers plenty of other fun crafts, games, activities and giveaways that aim to educate children and parents alike about the importance of protecting our planet.
This event is free and open to the public with ample on-site parking. Free popcorn and drinks will be served.
Donations of much-needed personal care kit items for the Dragonfly Foundation, (helping pediatric cancer and bone marrow transplant patients and their families), will be collected on site at the event.Dragonfly Care Package List
