Kevin F. Lunn

September 28, 1955 – August 9, 2022

Kevin Lunn

Kevin is survived by his wife Louise Rumsey Lunn; his daughter Alicia (Greg) Manson; his grandchildren Sierra & Quinn; his sisters Karen (Allan) Kopack & Kathy (Jim) Schrader; and his many nieces & nephews.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents Gleason & Lillian Lunn; and his brother Gleason “Chip” Lunn, Jr.
Kevin was known to all as a good man. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, & father-in-law. He loved his wife Louise, his family, his children Alicia & Greg, and especially his grandchildren, Sierra & Quinn. He loved all his Mustang brothers & lifelong friend Jose.

As a child, Kevin went deep-sea fishing with his dad. As an adult, he eagerly awaited the annual family vacations at the beach where he went deep-sea fishing with Greg, and this year, with Quinn.

Kevin worked at Kenworth for 30 years, where he helped keep his trucker buddies on the road.

Kevin’s love of Mustangs began as a teen when he had his first Mustang. In later years, he raced his ’87 Fox body at the Tri-State Raceway and later at the NMRA drag races in various states. He was one of the only racers who could still foot brake, without nitrous and go home with trophies or awards. In the last several years of his life, his brothers from the Mustangs of Cincinnati and 513 Mustang car clubs meant the world to him.

One of his favorite things was getting home and hearing the grandkids yelling “Grandpa, Grandpa!” from their driveway. His favorite t-shirt was the one they gave him that said: “If Grandpa can’t fix it, no one can.”

During Alicia’s high school years, he helped build sets for the Kings’ band, which won BOA awards. He was always there to keep her on the road.

Kevin will be missed.

A visitation for Kevin will be held from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (2155 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231; follow the BLUE line). His funeral will begin at 6:00 PM, with a Mustang drive-by tribute immediately after the service.

“Louise, we are so sorry you lost your husband. Kevin certainly had a full life which is to be admired, quite a legacy. We remember you telling us when Kevin was diagnosed and sharing the sadness that Cancer brings to the entire family. We believe that you will be together in eternity and will be happy for ever. Sincerely, Darlene and John Baker Montgomery Towne”
