Agnes Patterson, age 89, peacefully went home to be with the Lord at her home surrounded by family on December 31, 2021.

Agnes was born on the family farm near Somerset, Kentucky to Henry Franklin and Ina Lee Harper on November 6, 1932.

Agnes is survived by her children Carol Rauch (Patterson), Rick (Nancy) Patterson, Grandchildren: Eric and Michael (Jackie) Downing. Great granddaughters; Alexis, Ashley, Ava, Brother, Donald Harper (Nettie) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Delbert Patterson, whom she worked with side by side in their exterminating business, and siblings; Juanita, Jay Dean, Arnold and Rusey.

Proudly, growing up in the hills of Kentucky in the log house built by her father, Agnes ended up traveling the world through events of the square dance club, The Unicorners, The Red Hat society, in addition with friends from her yoga class, even performing a head stand on a mountain in S. Korea. She also had a love for children that lead her to become a school bus driver for many years.

Agnes was a former member of the Eastern Star society, an active member of Central Baptist church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Memorial donations can be made to Central Baptist Academy – 7645 Winton Road Cincinnati, OH 45224, to support Christian education of their students.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 6th January 6, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (2155 Compton Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45231- follow the blue line once you are on the cemetery grounds) (Facial Coverings required)

Services for Agnes Patterson will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

    Sorry for the loss of your Mom Carol, Rick, and all of Aunt A’s family. I’m glad that we got to spend time with her in Florida and have many fond memories. I especially enjoyed hearing her many stories of her travels, watching her canoeing with Mason, going to Tarpon Springs, and of course, eating chocolate together. I know my Dad was also there to greet her.

    Aunt A..you were definitely more like a 2nd mother than an aunt. Your Witty, sense of humor, love of family and life itself are the things I’ll remember most about you. I know you’ve been ready to go home for some time to be with the rest of the family and love ones, although those of us left behind will miss you terribly. Enjoy the home coming Big Red!
