Barbara Ann Rawlings
Barbara Ann Rawlings (nee Grubb) passed away peacefully in her home on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021. She had just turned 84 years of age on March 22. She resided on Longford Drive in Deer Park.
Barbara came as a young girl to Cincinnati from North Carolina with her father, mother, and brother, Boyd, Queen, and Bryan. She attended St. Bernard Elementary School, and graduated from St. Bernard High School, St. Bernard, OH. She participated in many activities including sports, and was a Titans Cheerleader for 4 years.
Barbara was employed throughout her life at many well-known local companies, including Proctor & Gamble, General Electric, McAlpin’s Kenwood, Bob Evans, and United Dairy Farmers. Most recently, she worked over 25 years for the Kroger Company.
She is survived by her son, Steve Rawlings and his wife, Melody Singleton Rawlings, and two granddaughters: Kaitlyn Locca, and Meredith Rawlings.
Her stories, her smile, and her laughter will be sorely missed. People would intentionally go through her checkout line at Kroger to speak with her. She was known, and recognized by many people in the Deer Park, Blue Ash, Kenwood, and Montgomery area.
The graveside service will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, March 31, at 2:30 p.m.
