Betty (Donathan) Gray Seichrist
Betty Seichrist, age 95, passed away on September 1, 2022, surrounded by family.
Betty was born in Portsmouth, OH to Earl Donathan and Gladys Donathan.
Dear mother of Barbara (Conrad) Oppt, Ken Gray, Connie (Richard) Leinberger, Judy (Tom Brown) Winkler. Loving Grandmother of Chris (Lori) Oppt, Brian (Amanda) Gray, Jennifer (Chris) Underhill, Amie Kilgore, Joshua (Krista) Leinberger, the late Edward Winkler, Brent (Kristen) Gray, Rebeka Leinberger, Matthew (Christina) Winkler and sixteen great grandchildren. Devoted sister of the late Henrietta Cook, Alma Ruth Donathan, Harold Donathan, and Helen Henne. Sister-in-law of Shirley Irvin and Nancy Gray.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, spouse; Warren, four siblings, and her grandson; Edward Winkler.
Betty worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. During her early years, she continued working varies jobs until her first retirement from Standard Publishing at age 62. At which time, she returned to work at Mt. Healthy Christian Home until final retirement at age 85.
She spent her leisure time reading, shopping and family activities. She traveled the United States by RV. Betty spent some time as a volunteer with the Ambassadors at Greater Cincinnati Airport. She also volunteered at her churches, teaching VBS, being a youth sponsor, helping wherever help was needed. Through her church she also volunteered countless hours at Mt. Healthy Christian Home Auxiliary.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 12:30 PM at The Christian Village at Mason, 411 Western Row Road, 45040 with services beginning at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, 45231.
