Brian L. Meier
Brian Meier, age 48, passed away on December 11, 2021.
Brian was born in Lacrosse, Wisconsin to Leo and Susan Meier. Brian married Sara Meier on May 24, 1997, in Lexington Kentucky.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Sara Meier, adored children Carol, Quinn, and Sabrina Meier. Devoted parents Leo and Susan Meier, cherished sister Rachel (Fred) Thompson and niece Catherine. Sister in laws; Julia Hall and Megan Hall, Loving parent in laws Tom and Judy Hall.
Brian enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed imparting information and facts for his children to use in their lives in often elaborately imagined situations. He was a lover of science and history who enjoyed a good philosophical debate on many subjects. Brian held a wicked sense of humor on just about everything, choosing to live a life of stoic reflection and logic implementation. Many family dinners would last hours with discussions on a wide variety of topics, and was a favorite activity of all involved.
Brian valued education and strived to never stop learning. In addition to his love of documentaries and educational television on a myriad of subjects, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in psychology and a MBA from University of Phoenix.
Brian was also a sci-fi geek of epic proportions, an avid reader of many genres in addition to his thirst for knowledge and history. He had a strong ability to put all of these together to help his children and sometimes illogical wife put life into perspective and persevere.
He had a huge heart when it came to individuals and would often be referred to as a giant gentle teddy bear or simply “Big B”. His love, compassion and understanding will be severely missed by his family and those he affected in life.
Services for Brian will be held at a later date sometime in the spring.
