Mr. Daniel Brunsman, age 58, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021.

Dan was born in Cincinnati, OH to Donald and Joyce Brunsman. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Saho, on December 6, 1986, at Little Flower Church. He was an active member in both the St. James and LaSalle High School communities. He enjoyed being an athletic board member and his children’s coach at St. James. He also passed his love of theatre on to his children and directed/co-directed many of their productions at LaSalle HS. He loved golfing, poker club, cooking and euchre. He was a loyal friend to many people and was known to enjoy a good glass of bourbon and a quality cigar. Above all, he was a family man, and he will be missed dearly.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa Brunsman; his parents, Donald and Joyce Brunsman; children, Courtney Brunsman and Zachary (Carrie) Brunsman; twin brother, Dennis (Karen) Brunsman; sister, Deb (Mark) Hetzel; and his first grandchild, who is on the way. He is also survived by many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by Lisa’s parents, Bob and Shirley Saho, maternal grandparents, Earl and Margaret Sunderhaus and paternal grandparents, Willard and Catherine Brunsman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, follow the light blue line to the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. James the Greater Church, White Oak, 3565 Hubble Road, Cincinnati, OH 45247. Entombment will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

    Lisa and all of the family –
    Dan loved you beyond measure. He fought the good fight and finished the race. He will be with you always. Sorry to miss the services. I didn’t feel comfortable with the Covid spike. Praying for you nonstop.

    Dan was one of those people you just had to love!!
    He was always there for his friends and family in good times and bad. We were only able to visit with Dan and Lisa one time after his stroke and he was the one making us feel better!!!!!

    So they said he didn’t know certain things after his stroke but I remember once when Lisa and I were trying to find some sporting event for him to watch on TV and he spoke up and said “BTN”, well he was right. Lisa and I just both looked at each other. I loved that about him….full of surprise moments that I firmly believe he was truly in charge of his own destiny, though his body was not, just as he determined when it was time for him to rest at the end of his journey. Much sadness for those who he left behind but what a legacy he is leaving all of us. Rest in Peace Dan. We will take care of Lisa and your family.
