Frances Schlotterbeck, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on December 23, 2021.
Frances was born in Hyden, Kentucky on February 8, 1935, to Howard and Martha Collins. Frances married Nelson Schlotterbeck in 1959, he preceded her in death in 2014.
Frances is survived by children Peggy (Gary) Cuozzo, Rosalee (Larry) Schwarber, Freida (Tim) Newman, Gary Schlotterbeck, Danny (Candy) Schlotterbeck and Penny (George) Portlock. Eighteen grandchildren, and many other great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Schlotterbeck, children Paul Crain and Evelyn Crain and grandson Ricky Crain.
Frances loved being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her eight children were her pride and joy. She loved taking care of her birds – George was her favorite. She had the greenest thumb, and her yard was full of succulents, rose bushes and her many beloved yard decorations. On any given day, you could find Frances at the thrift store looking for a great bargain. If you visited her at home, she was so excited to see you and welcomed you to sit with her on her swing, talk and enjoy her beautiful yard and the home she loved so much.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (Follow the blue line once on the grounds of the memorial park) (Facial coverings required)
Funeral services for Frances Schlotterbeck will be held immediately following visitation on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
