Mr. Harold Hartman, age 94, passed away on July 19, 2020. Harold was born in Cincinnati, OH to Edward and Besse Hartman. He married Loretta Cannon on April 3, 1954, and she survives. Loretta and Harold were married for 66 years. Harold is also survived by his son Greg Hartman and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Emma Grote and Floradell Tenhover and brothers; Edward, Fred and Russell Hartman.
Harold served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He received the Bronze Star and served in the Pacific Theater on the USS Bennion. He participated in 9 major battles including Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.
He worked in the trucking industry for over 30 years. He loved fishing, trained horses and loved the Cincinnati Reds. Harold enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger.
Services for Mr. Harold Hartman will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 11:30 AM at St Ignatius Loyola Church. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
