Kimberly Diane (St John) Gutknecht
Kim left this world peacefully surrounded by family on March 25, 2021 at the young age of 44. While she was not ready to leave, her body simply failed her. Kim was born in Good Samaritan Hospital on February 28, 1977 to Steve and Pam St. John.
She is survived by her loving husband Jamie (James F) Gutknecht of almost 14 years. She was the caring mother of Reba Clark, Cody Egan (Caitlyn), Kermit Gutknecht, Eddie Gutknecht and stepmother of Zack and Ethan Gutknecht. Kim will be greatly missed by her devoted mother-in-law Bev Gutknecht, her parents Steve St. John (Susan) and Pam Nintrup (Mark), brother John St. John (Shelly), stepbrothers Adam (Leslie) and Jason (Amanda) Nintrup and brother-in-law John Gutknecht. She will be missed by her many family members and friends, especially those at Germania.
Kim had a true love of life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed volunteering at Germania, fishing, swimming, and spending her “Mom” days with each of her children.
She will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 29. Public visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Arlington Memorial Garden Funeral Home (upon entering the cemetery, follow the blue line). The service will be at 12:00 p.m. followed by burial by the lake at 1:00 p.m. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, P.O. Box 5202, Cincinnati, OH 45201-5202 or https://give.cincinnatichildrens.org/ which has been instrumental in the lives of her sons Eddie and Kermit.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, aides and nurses that helped with her care, especially Alisha and Kenna, who were a blessing at the end of her life.
