Michael Robert DeMasters

Michael (Mike) Robert DeMasters, 62, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022.

Survived by him are the loves of his life: his partner, Deborah DeMasters, his two children, Whitney DeMasters and Michael Wyatt DeMasters, and his pets, Alvin and Apollo. Mike is also survived by his uncle, Jack DeMasters as well as by his sisters and brothers-in-law Donna and Tom Taylor, Linda and John Trainor, Bobby and Bill Criscillis, and Kristy Julian. He joins his father and mother, Robert and Ethel DeMasters, in heaven.

People who know Mike best describe him as a hard worker and a family man. He started his career as a driver and was a second-generation milkman, following in the footsteps of his father and uncle working for a local dairy in Cincinnati for nearly 15 years. He later became an entrepreneur owning and operating two separate businesses he built with his partner, Deborah, from the ground up. Everything Mike did and worked hard for was to support his family. He said his greatest accomplishment in life was both of his children graduating college.

More than anything, Mike loved to laugh and bring laughter to others. He delighted all those around him with his jokes and quick-witted humor that made him fun and his personality irresistible. All those who met him loved him. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hunt, lived to fish and enjoyed camping and boating. His other pleasures include 70’s rock music, classic American muscle cars, motorcycles and movie nights at home with his family.

Mike loved life and never let anything stand in the way of getting what he wanted. Although he is in God’s hands, he will forever be missed.

Mike will be buried next to his parents at Arlington Memorial Gardens. A small family graveside service will be held on January 19, 2022, at 12 noon. Family will meet at the family gathering area and process from there.

Uncle Mike was always the uncle you heard the funny stories about growing up, about his big personality & his younger days of being the wild child. He was the Uncle that lived up to those stories. One of my core memories growing up is golf cart rides and s’mores with Whitney, Wyatt uncle Mike and aunt Debbie! He will be missed and will live on through those memories & his family 🤍 Rest easy uncle Mike!

Hi everyone. My name is Alexa and I am mike demasters youngest niece from my mother Kristy Julian and late father mike Julian. I didn’t know my uncle mike very well. I wish I had. But from I I have heard from my mother, my aunts and uncles, his partner Debbie and his children Wyatt and Whitney he was a great man, a great friend and an amazing father who did not deserve to be taken from this world so soon. But I know I’m my heart and soul he is looking down from heaven with his mom and dad Robert and Ethel and he will forever smile at all his families achievements through their life and be there for them in spirit when they are at their lows. I hope you all find some comfort in this letter and to uncle mike demasters, you are and will continue to be so loved from your family. We will miss you everyday and will look forward to the day we reunite with you again. Thank you.

Although I did not know Michael personally, he truly sounds like a joyous person. I’m honored to know Whitney and know that his spirit lives on in her bright presence. The depth of our sadness tends to parallel the depth of our love for those who pass away. God, bless this family with peace in knowing he is free from suffering. Whitney, may you allow comfort to join you in your path forward. Love and hugs.

Debbie, Wyatt and Whitney, I love the photo you chose of Mike. It reflects his true spirit of loving life. I am so incredibly privileged to have met Mike’s most precious family members – all three of you, and to have worked with Mike in physical therapy. Mike always talked about family first, followed by cars and boats then he would crack up and tell a story that had us laughing. Everyone loved Mike’s company and noted his perseverance to never give up. My family sends your family love, hugs and prayers that his memory may be a blessing and may peace be upon him. much love, Renee Loftspring
