Shelbie Jean Parker, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2021 under the care of Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio. She was born July 18, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William Earl and Eva (nee McVey) Sparks. In addition to her parents, Shelbie was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald E. Parker, and brother, Glenn Sparks.
She is survived by her sons; Greg (Cathy), Jeff (Karen), and Guy Dean (Diep Tran) Parker; daughter, Sandra (Gregg) Moore; grandchildren, Bradley (Beth), Sarah (Jeremy), Tiffany (Trent), Hannah (George), Brent (Courtney), Nick, and Tanner; 7 great-grandchildren; and extended family and dear friends.
Shelbie was a faithful servant to God and raised her family in Norwood. She retired from The Christ Hospital. She will be remembered and celebrated for her loving, sweet spirit. To know her was to love her.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio. A funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with son-in-law, Gregg Moore, officiating. Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
