Virginia (Ginny) Uehlein, 91 years old passed to her heavenly home July 18, 2021. Ginny was born in Bath County, KY to parents Roy and Alva Reynolds on January 4, 1930. After high school graduation she moved to Cincinnati, OH living with a loving devoted Aunt. There she worked for a few years, attending the Church of the Nazarene where she met and married the love of her life, James C. Uehlein and had their three children Elizabeth Ann (stillborn), James Phillip (Jimmy) and Linda Marie. Needing larger living quarters, the family moved to Kentucky. Ginny is survived by her daughter Linda (Jake) Bowman, one sister, friends and many nieces and nephews. Those preceded her in death were James C. Uehlein, husband, Elizabeth Ann Uehlein, infant daughter, Roy Reynolds Jr, brother, Peggy Lou Hunt, sister and Alva Reynolds Carpenter, mother. Ginny was a long-time member of her beloved church, Newport Nazarene. There she was involved in missions, teaching children, board member, music or wherever she was needed. She was an elementary school teacher in Campbell County, Newport District until retirement. After retirement she was invited to join a quilt club. Learning to sew and quilt, she supplied family and friends with beautiful work. Her latest years of fond happy memories were spent in her sewing room making comfort quilts for sick, needy children at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, where she connected with Ronald McDonald House as part of her quilt club.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 26 from 10am until time of service at 12 noon at the Newport Nazarene Church, 830 York St, Newport. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Gardens, Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport serving the family.
