Bill and I have been friends for many years since around 1995 I guess. he worked at Reynolds Aluminum when I met him. I am a truck driver and was at the facility about four times a week. We struck up a friendship while he was unloading me early in the morning. We were both Dale Earnhardt fans and talked about racing all the time. When Dale died at Daytona I was at Reynolds the next morning. I will never forget that day because Bill and I could hardly talk about it. It was what changed our outlook on racing from that day on. Bill was the kind of guy you could depend on and never worry. Bill and Evelyn both came to my sons funeral clear up north to Stow Ohio in 2005 . I was so honored that they took the time to come and pay their respects to my son who was KIA in Iraq. There have been few people in my life that have made the impression on me that Bill did. Evelyn I am so sorry for your loss. We all lost a great man and a great friend. Evelyn, please know that I am thinking of you and the family in this time of sorrow.

I has the pleasure of knowing Bill for only a few years, but he was a very good friend and a great man. He and Evelyn were a great couple .And the love they shared was evident any time you were with or around them. My heart goes out to Evelyn and family at this sad time. But Bill knew he was loved ,as Evelyn chose to take care of him herself in his last days. God Bless this Family
