A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Mary Jo Maue, 79, of Maineville, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. Born on September 5, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Mary Jo is survived by her devoted companion of 43 years and husband of 29 years, Gregory Maue, her loving sons Gregory Maue Jr., Kelly (Elana) Vanoli, and Kevin (Lenee Hammonds) Vanoli, and her cherished grandchildren Kira Hamlin, Conner Vanoli, Natalie Vanoli, Lexi Barker, Trinity Vanoli, Ethan Geier, and Braden Vanoli. She is also survived by her sisters, Sue (the late David) Gerth and Judith (Henry) Kuhn, and her brother, Jim (Lorraine) Wilson.
Mary Jo’s warmth and kindness were felt by everyone who crossed her path. She loved nothing more than spending quality time with her family, often gathering them around the table for delicious meals, including her famous lasagna and grilled favorites. Her passion for cooking shone during the holidays and family picnics, where her carefully prepared meals became a source of joy and togetherness.
An incredible seamstress, there was virtually nothing that Mary Jo could not sew. Whether it was crafting beautiful gifts or repairing clothes, she approached every project with love and dedication. She was even given the opportunity to design her niece’s bridal veil. In her downtime, she enjoyed indulging in her hobbies, particularly crafting, and took immense joy in her time spent at the beach, soaking up the sun.
Mary Jo was also an avid fan of NASCAR events and Hydroplane racing, sharing these thrilling experiences with Gregory at their favorite events over the years. Her spirit of adventure was matched only by her deep affection for her family and home life, which she cherished more than anything else.
Mary Jo’s funeral service will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering memorial park) beginning with visitation at 9:30 AM to honor her beautiful life. The service will officially commence at 11:00 AM, with a graveside ceremony immediately following at 11:30 AM at Arlington Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Sunrise.
