A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Craig Carson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on April 9, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on July 2, 1949, in Cincinnati, OH, Dale was a remarkable man whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of everyone he met.
Dale lived a life rich with adventure and love. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Gail, with whom he shared 57 joyous years of marriage. Together, they traveled the world, calling various places home, including Australia, Florida, Las Vegas, and Virginia. But no matter where life took them, Cincinnati remained their true anchor.
Dale was a dedicated sales manager at Shannon Flooring, where his friendly demeanor and genuine nature made him a favorite among clients and coworkers alike. His love for people extended beyond his professional life, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He took pride in being a devoted father to his son Joe (Sarah), and his late daughter Merideth. He relished every moment with his grandchildren: Jacob (Ashley), Marissa, Josh (Anne), Rachel, Olivia, Andrew, and Easton. Spoiling them was his favorite pastime, and his love extended to his great-grandchildren, Dominic, Leon, Lexi, Scarlett, and Lorelei, who brought tremendous joy to his life.
Dale was a man of many passions. He loved the thrill of golf and enjoyed playing first base in softball, as well as going to NASCAR races and golf tournaments with his son Joe. From Beatles tunes to CCR classics, music filled his heart, and he cherished family vacations, planning memorable trips that brought everyone together. Dale’s kind-hearted nature and zest for life will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Gail, his son Joe, his daughter in law, Sarah, his son in law, Brian (Heather), his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his siblings, John (Deb) Carson, Terri (Ron) Lynch, and Patty (Jim) Potts. His love will forever remain in our hearts and in the heart of his fur baby, Elsa.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dolores Carson, and his daughter, Merideth Carson-Thamann.
As we remember Dale, let us celebrate his love for life, his passion for family, and the countless ways he enriched all of our lives. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

“Dale was a very likeable and loveable person to be around and talk to. I will always remember when we took a trip to John’s condo down in Cumberland. We all watched the NFL draft there and played golf together. It was a nice time there and I will always remember what he said to me he said “it’s called pick it up play where you want” while we were playing and that’s how I’ve played golf my whole life thanks to that tip.”

“Dale was a great big brother. He always looked out for his little brother & sisters. As most brothers do, we fought like crazy growing up but he always had my back. As adults we had many great times together. We played softball together & many rounds of golf. We went to several NASCAR races and had Bengals season tickets for many years as well. Before Dale had his stroke about 5 years ago, they were living in Florida for several years. We really liked their home there and decided to buy a home close to where they lived. We loved being close to them when we were there. I really miss my brother and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.”

“Uncle dale was the only person to ever call me “Tracer” and that how I will always remember him. His voice is still in my head anytime I ever think about him. He was such a great man to everyone, not just family. He will always be remembered.”

“A loving husband, devoted and steady, the kind of love that stands the test of time and never wavers. A father who gave everything he had, pouring his heart into his family in ways that will echo forever. And a Papaw on the Job, whose love was pure, warm, and constant, the kind of love that made you feel safe just being near him. He wasn’t perfect, but he was real. He was strong. He was ours. And even through the hardest moments, he kept going. He fought for his family. He fought for love. He fought to stay, to hold on, to give just a little more of himself. You will always be our fighter. And you will always be so deeply, endlessly loved. Austin and I will save you a seat at the wedding. I love you with every bit of me. Our stubborn Papaw 💛 Rest in Paradise”
