A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Robert Eugene Fledderjohn, aged 79, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026. Born on May 14, 1947, in Cincinnati, Bob served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, embodying the courage and dedication that defined his life.
Bob’s professional journey saw him thrive in the retail sector working as a manager at Kmart and later Macy’s. However, it was his role as a family man that truly defined him. On June 16, 2026, just days before his passing, he celebrated 57 beautiful years of marriage to his beloved wife, Zenaida Fledderjohn. Together, they built a strong family unit, raising their three children: Rachel Meyer, Michael Fledderjohn, and Maria Erhardt.
A devoted grandfather, Bob enjoyed every moment spent with his ten grandchildren and took immense joy in welcoming two great-grandchildren into the family. His grandchildren, Dennis, Timothy, Stephanie, Damion, Joshua, Haillie, Zachary, Gregory “Nic,” Michael, and Matthew, were often the highlight of his days. Family vacations to the beach were cherished, providing opportunities to bond and create lasting memories, underscoring the importance he placed on family time.
Bob had a playful side, finding pleasure in shopping, doing puzzles, and watching his favorite television shows, including Judge Judy. As a passionate sports fan, he proudly cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers and was always a guiding force during home remodeling projects, lending his expertise and support to his son-in-law Greg and grandson Nic.
His beloved fur baby, Betsy Rose, brought him joy and companionship, reminding us all of the simplicity and comfort found in unconditional love.
Robert Eugene Fledderjohn leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Zenaida; his cherished children, Rachel (Dennis) Meyer, Michael (Terri) Fledderjohn, and Maria (Gregory) Erhardt; his grandchildren, Dennis, Timothy, Stephanie, Damion, Joshua, Haillie, Zachary, Gregory “Nic,” Michael, and Matthew; his great- grandchildren, Evelyn and Navi; his brother, Richard Fledderjohn; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Flora Fledderjohn; brothers, William “Bill” Fledderjohn, and Michael Fledderjohn.
