Eleanor Ann Hayes

Eleanor Hayes, age 94, passed away on September 22, 2026. Eleanor was born in Cincinnati, OH to Nickolas Jung and Sophia Haas Jung. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Karen (Jay) Hersman, grandchildren, Anne Hersman, and Em (Erik) Jaap, as well as 2 granddogs. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 45 years, Charles “Bill” Hayes, her parents, and brother, Nicholas Jung. Eleanor adventured extensively in an RV with Bill, driving the Alaska Highway and participating in many TriState Travelier rallies.  A 1951 graduate of Norwood High School, Eleanor remained close to the community through membership at the Norwood Presbyterian Church, social outings and trips with former classmates and her sister-in law, Merle Pointer.  Eleanor enjoyed living at Twin Towers Retirement Community participating in musical programming, special events, bingo and water aerobics.  Visitation will be held Monday, 28th of September, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. A service will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place on Tuesday, 29^th of September, 2026 at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 11:30 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to Make A Wish or to a charity of one’s choice.
