Jo-Anne R. Meacham

January 28, 1935 – October 29, 2026

Jo-Anne R. Meacham

Jo-Anne is now with her beloved husband, Tom, who passed away in 2012 after 53 years of an extremely blissful marriage. They both leave behind their only child, Martha, who is grateful to have been blessed with the best parents and best friends ever!

Jo-Anne was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was raised by her mother and her grandparents, spending her youth in Cincinnati and Brown County Ohio. She was a graduate of Hamersville High School, the College Conservatory of Music and U.C where she earned both her B.A. and Masters Degree in education. Jo-Anne was employed by the Greenhills-Forest Park City Schools district where she was a beloved and respected educator for over 32 years, retiring in 1990. After their marriage in 1958, Jo-Anne and Tom began their married and family life in their Springfield Township residence. It is there where both of them peacefully passed away (Tom in 2012) after receiving the compassionate care from both family and from Hospice of Cincinnati.

Jo-Anne loved music, reading, working crossword puzzles, enjoying good food, and her family (human, canine, and feline). She and Martha traveled to New York for several years where they indulged in their shared passion for the arts, attending performances at the Metropolitan Opera and the theater. They also enjoyed attending performances at the Cincinnati Opera, the CSO, and Playhouse in the Park.

Jo-Anne will be sorely missed by her loved ones: Connie, Rick, Jennifer, and Amanda Robinson. Lynn, Catherine, and Peyton Thomas Bowie-Hightower. A woman of strong Christian faith, Jo-Anne is with the Lord and rejoices in being with her beloved family in Heaven.

Donations may be made in Jo-Anne’s memory to: Hospice of Cincinnati https://hospiceofcincinnati.org/, Northern Hills Christian Church, 9470 Winton Road, 45231 and the SPCA of Cincinnati https://www.spcacincinnati.org/ways-to-give/.
