Emily Ann (Sturgill) Wilhelm passed away early the morning of December 9th, 2022 and is now in the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mom was always an upbeat, down-to-earth, spiritual, fun-loving person.
Emily Ann was born in Black-Bottom, KY to Jasper Sturgill and Dessi Sturgill. Emily married Harry Wilhelm and he preceded her in death in March of 2002. Emily was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Carla J. Wilhelm Edson and Emily’s step-father, Daniel E. Melvin, siblings, Randy Sturgill, Helen and Ellen Sturgill.
Emily is survived by her children, Bruce E. Wilhelm and his wife Cathy (nee Bradford) Wilhelm, Gregory L. Wilhelm and his wife Kate (nee Dunlap) Wilhelm, and Christopher K. Wilhelm and his wife April K. (nee Stephens) Wilhelm, grandchildren, Danny Wilhelm, Austin Wilhelm, Joey (Ashley) Wilhelm, Becky Moore, Jennifer (Kenny) Ciboch, Eric (Barb) Moore, Anthony Moore, Christopher Wilhelm, Jr., Noah Wilhelm, Mary Wilhelm and Nicholas Wilhelm, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Alan Sturgill, Terry Sturgill, Larry (Shirley) Sturgill, James Sturgill, Carol (James) Money, Danny Melvin, Melinda (Steven) Crowell, Jackie (Elmer) Smallwood and many extended relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, when the services will begin, at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, follow the BLUE line to the funeral home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
