A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Toby Hines passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 8, 2025, at the age of 85. Toby was born on March 28, 1939, in Gilpin, KY.
A loving husband to Anna for over 61 years, Toby treasured family above all else. He is survived by his daughter, Mary (Stephen) Gauche, and sons, Douglas Hines, and John Hines. Toby also adored his grandchildren, Amanda Gauche, Michael (Alysha) Hines, John Hines, and Tommy Hines. He will be missed by his brother, Arnold Hines, and his sister, Seleta (Jerry) Combs, who held him dear in their hearts. Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary L. Hines, and his siblings, Patrick Eugene Hines, and Regina Hines.
Toby enjoyed camping, going to the casino, piddling in his garage, and playing with all of his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a fair weather fan of his favorite football teams, baseball teams and Nascar drivers. He had a special bond with his dog, Tinker, who was always by his side, bringing happiness to him and Anna.
Toby will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens, located at 2145 Compton Road, Springfield Township, Ohio 45231. Visitation will take place Thursday, February 13th, 2025, from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held immediately after.
