The West Side of Cincinnati is so much more than just streets and neighborhoods. It’s still church steeples and chili parlors, school spirit and family trees with deep, deep roots. It’s a place where generations stay close, and names, both family names and business names, mean a great deal.
What Receiving this Recognition Means to Our Team
Being named Best of the West by Cincy Magazine is not merely a marketing tactic. For us at Arlington, it’s a source of pride and trust. Because on the West Side, you have to earn those designations, year after year, funeral by funeral, gesture by gesture.
This recognition does not belong to us alone. It belongs to every family that welcomed us into their story and allowed us to care for someone they loved. It belongs to our team, who work through sorrow with families not out of routine but with reverence. It belongs to the West Side itself, where there is an emphasis on showing up, following through, and doing things the right way, even when no one is watching.
To be clear, awards don’t define us. But when recognition comes from a community that truly knows us and chooses us, it is definitive because it carries more weight. It affirms that our care is felt, and that our presence and commitment are valued.
