Memorial Day Weekend – Field of Memories Schedule of Events
SEE DETAILSA DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
May 25, 2026
To everyone who came out to the Field of Memories this past weekend: thank you. The skies were heavy, the ground was soaked, and still you came. You walked among the flags, paused at the names, and stood in the wind and rain to honor the men and women whose service and sacrifice are remembered in this place. We are deeply grateful.
Memorial weekends do not always come with sunshine, and this year the weather asked something more of every visitor. You gave it. That meant something.
This afternoon at 3:05 PM, every flag dedication was read aloud, one name at a time, each followed by the tolling of a bell. A name spoken. A bell rang. A life acknowledged. It is a simple ceremony, and a profound one.
If you were unable to attend the reading, the complete list of all flag dedications made this year is available on our website, listed in alphabetical order. You can review the names at your own pace, in your own quiet space, and pay your respects in the way that feels right to you.
Your impressions of the weekend matter to us. We have prepared a short online survey and would be honored if you could take a few minutes to complete it. We are asking about:
• Your experience at the 2026 Field of Memories
• Your observations on the condition of the grounds
• Any additional information you would like to receive about Arlington Memorial Gardens, our services, and the special pricing opportunities we are offering through June 15
The survey form is available at the bottom of this post and takes just a few minutes to complete.
Every completed survey will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 Kroger Gift Card. Six winners will be drawn after all surveys are collected, and we will reach out to each winner directly this week.
Whether or not your name is drawn, please know that every single response is appreciated. Your feedback is kept confidential and helps us improve the care, grounds, and experience we offer to families and visitors throughout the year.
To every person who stood with us in the wind and rain, to every family who walked the field, to every neighbor, friend, and stranger who paused to remember: thank you. You helped make this weekend deeply meaningful. We are honored to share this ground with you, and we are honored that you chose to share it with us.
With gratitude, from all of us at Arlington Memorial Gardens
Thank you for visiting us over Memorial Day weekend. If you did not complete a survey while you were on the grounds, we would appreciate your feedback now. All completed entires will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Kroger Gift Card (6 cards will be awarded). We will notify winners later this week.
