Alexis Mary Barnaby, age 77, peacefully passed away on October 6, 2025. Born on June 2, 1948, in Quincy, Massachusetts, to Allan and Dorothy Barnaby, Alexis was a beloved sister and a dedicated professional in the telecommunications sales industry, with early employment at Anthem Blue Cross and later at Mass Marketing, both in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Alexis is survived by her cherished sister, Lynn Wheeler, and brother-in-law, David Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allan and Dorothy Barnaby (nee Smith), whose love and guidance shaped her life.
A private family service to honor Alexis’s memory will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, 45231. Those interested in attending should contact the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Alexis to the charity of your choice—a testament to her compassionate spirit.
Alexis will be lovingly remembered for her warmth and dedication to her family and friends. May her memory be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
“I was a dear friend of Alexis.We worked together at Mass Marketing for quite a few years. I was a single mother at the time and she was always there for me and my son Andrew. I have such wonderful memories of our time spent together. I loved her so much and will miss talking to her. So glad she is not in any pain and is with her Mom and Dad and other friends and family.”
