Alfreda D. Stevenson

Alfreda D. Stephenson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Aunt, will be celebrated for her vibrant personality, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for her family. Born in Cincinnati, OH on January 26, 1941, Freda passed away on May 2, 2024, at her home in Hamilton, OH.

She is survived by her husband Bill, her sons Rob (Tammy) Rider, Jim (Tonya) Stephenson, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and other family members.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Emma Ward, her sons Tommy and Mike Rider, along with her three sisters and two brothers

Throughout her life, Freda was known for her animated spirit, good sense of humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. As a dedicated housekeeper at Quality Inn, she worked tirelessly in the hotel industry, always ensuring that everything was in perfect order. After retiring, she found joy tending to her garden filled with beautiful roses and listening to her favorite country music artists like Vince Gill, Elvis Presley, and George Jones.

One of Freda’s greatest joys was spending time with her large and loving family. She cherished gatherings at Christmas, her favorite holiday, and loved nothing more than sharing a meal, a laugh, and a cup of coffee with her family and friends. Freda had a taste for comfort food, particularly enjoying Cracker Barrel’s chicken and dumplings, and appreciated good restaurant cooking.

Freda and her husband Bill shared 37 wonderful years together and created a well-blended family filled with love and laughter. She will always be remembered for her passion for collecting dolls, her love for watching westerns, and her dedication to her family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Freda’s life on Thursday May 9, 2024, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line to the left upon entering the memorial park). Visitation at 10:00 AM. Services at 11:00 AM with burial immediately following.
