Obituary via Frederick Funeral Home

Anthony M. Losito (Mike), passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He was born on July 21, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Jr. and Maxine Martre Losito.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon Losito, his daughter, Stefanie (Keith) Clay and son, Tony, and grandchildren Josie and Cooper Clay.

He was born one of six children; siblings Danny, Frankie, Joe, William, and Sandra.

Mike spent many years in the United States Army, serving in the medic unit during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Germany for several years. He continued his career in the medical field and retired from Christ Hospital after nearly 30 years. He loved to teach early on from different types of laser surgery to C-sections. He studied the brain and performed autopsies and then went on to work at Christ in the OR, notably executing any and every type of surgery, but had a passion for orthopedics.

He was a character and loved telling jokes. He took great pleasure in his visits to Florida and Lake Erie, on a boat fishing for redfish, walleye, and perch. He was the record king, holding dance parties at his house, spinning his large collection of 45’s and 33’s. He also loved golfing, drag racing, and most importantly, food (Italian and any type of sweets were his favorite).

A memorial gathering will take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens Chapel, 2145 Compton Road on Monday November 21, 2022 from 1:30pm-2:30pm, followed by graveside military service at 2:30pm.

Special condolences may be expressed at frederickfh.com.
