Barbara Elaine Staub

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Elaine Staub (Elaine), 76, of Mt Healthy, OH, on April 5, 2025. Elaine was born on February 4, 1949.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dan; her children, Nick (Drea) Staub, Eric Staub and Angie Vest; her grandchildren Rami, Chloe and Myles; sisters, Sherri Murphy and Debbie (Tom) Welling. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Virginia (Bill and Ginny) Sanders; brother Ken; brother-in-law Larry Murphy.

Elaine began her work career with Provident Bank as a legal secretary and when she became a wife and mother, she worked with Good Samaritan Hospital and Belcan Corporation primarily. She was well known for her organized nature and she was a go-to for instant recall of dates of birth, anniversaries, graduations and any other milestone achievements in the lives of those she loved. She was a great trivia partner.

A devoted Christian, she prayed daily for others and enjoyed the sense of community she received as a member of Assumption Parish. She loved reading, classical music, played the piano and flute. Christmas music was often requested by her on car rides to family functions, even in the middle of summer.

Elaine will be remembered for her selflessness, generosity and her infectious laugh. She carried herself with dignity, grace and strength until the end. She adored spending time with her family and close friends and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be be made in Elaine’s memory to organizations she supported including Tunnel to Towers Foundation https://t2t.org/ and St. Jude Hospital https://www.stjude.org/, as well as Suncrest Hospice, 9050 Centre Pointe Drive Suite 100, West Chester Twp, OH 45069.

A memorial service for Elaine will be held at a future date, where family will come together to honor her life and share cherished memories.
