Barbara Louise Williams, lovingly known as Bobbi, passed away on September 3, 2026, in Mason, Ohio, at the age of 96. She was born on February 10, 1930, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Orlando B. Black and Hertha Fay (nee Coil) Black.

Bobbi grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Woodward High School in 1948. She later continued her education by taking several classes at the University of Cincinnati. Determined, kind, and generous, she carried herself with strength and warmth throughout her life. She loved everyone as family and was known for keeping a smile on her face.

In 1948, she married Bennie Edwards, and together they raised their five children in Mason, Ohio. During those years, they enjoyed playing cards with friends, and loved hosting parties that brought people together. Bobbi took great pride in being self-sufficient, and she proudly taught her children the same lesson: if you start a job, you finish it.

Her working life reflected that same steady spirit. She began her career with the City of Mason in the Water Department. Following the tornado of 1974, she went to work for Warren County Welfare in data entry, where she remained until her retirement in 1995.

In 1995, she married Robert “Bob” Williams. They made their home in Mason and shared many happy years together until his passing in 2015. Bobbi and Bob enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and together they discovered a love for cruises and traveling.

Bobbi found joy in the simple pleasures that made a house feel like home and a family feel cared for. She loved crocheting and other crafts that reflected both her creativity and her generosity. Her affection for the family’s pets endured through the years.

She is survived by: her children and their families, Renee (Bob) Allen, Lonnie (Lisa) Edwards, Lana Brausch, and Tricia (Dale) Beebe; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Orlando “Bud” (Donna) Black; and many loving family members and friends. Those who knew Bobbi will remember the way she welcomed others, the strength with which she lived, and the love she gave so freely.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlando B. Black and Hertha Fay Black; her husband, Robert “Bob” Williams; her son, Bennie “Mike” Edwards; and her sister, Marcia Price.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 11:30 AM.  Please gather at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231, by 11:15 to process back to her final resting place together.  Barbara Louise Williams lived a long and meaningful life centered on family, hard work, friendship, and joy. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
