Bonnie L. (nee Cornelius) Rost, beloved wife of the late Albert G. Rost. Devoted mother of Donna (Dave) Kelly, Sharon (Bill) Grifo and Brenda (Mark) Habedank. Loving grandmother of Sara (Charles) Hafron and Samantha (Joseph) Lang. Dear sister of the late Ernest Cornelius Jr. and late June Hedger. Bonnie was a proud Navy veteran, she enlisted in the Navy in 1956 and served for 2 years as a Navy nurse at the San Diego Naval Hospital and was ranked a Lieutenant JG. After serving her country, she became involved in her community. She was a legislation chairman for Struble Elementary PTA and even started the petition for a traffic light at Banning Rd. and Memory Rd. that was then approved. She also worked diligently to help fund the Women’s Military Memorial in Washington, D.C. Due to her contributions to the community, she was nominated into the Ohio Veteran Hall of Fame for all of her hard work. She was a loving wife and mother who not only served her country but her community as well and will be dearly missed. Bonnie passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, age 90.
Visitation at Groesbeck Church, 8871 Colerain Ave., on Tuesday (October 10, 2023) from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Groesbeck Church, 8871 Colerain Ave. Special condolences may be expressed at www.frederickfh.com
