Carol Ann Fredenburg of Austin, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on November 30, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky. Carol’s family moved from Louisville to Cincinnati, Ohio, when Carol was very young. She grew up in Cincinnati. Carol was a proud Princeton High School Graduate from the class of 1974. Carol was a world traveler and often would share fond stories of her trips especially to Hawaii. One of her most cherished photos was one at sunset there just basking in the glory of the beautiful sunset.
Carol graduated from Rollins College in 1996 with an accounting degree (Summa Cum Laude). She worked at various accounting jobs of increasing responsibility until she decided to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam. Carol passed the two-day exam on her first attempt and received the highest score of her class. She was actively involved in animal welfare and patriotic support of America’s servicemen. She loved watching sports Bengals, Reds, with family members she got that from her dad. Carol’s most favorite day was October 23, 1993 when she married her prince charming and best friend Bill Fredenburg.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, James Beckham, in 2012 as well as sister in law Kathryn Barber. She is survived by her husband, Bill Fredenburg; her mother, Virginia Beckham; and her brother, David Beckham. Sister in law to Carol (Chris) Mcguire. She was an aunt to many; Erica Beckham (Luke) Damon Beckham (Jenny), Aaron Beckham, Mickey, Kelly and Ted Mcguire, Michael and Elizabeth Barber. Great Aunt to Takyra Beckham, Taylor Miller (Dylan), Anthony, Madison, Abby Beckham , Great Great Aunt to Zoey Beckham. Beloved and cherished cousin to many. She was a loving cat mom to Spencer and Sadie. She still held close to her heart her forever fur angels Elliott, Fred and Ginger.
Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10AM until time of funeral service beginning at 12Noon. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
