A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charlene Margaret Louise Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on May 22, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on September 16, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, Charlene lived a life filled with love, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Charlene will be remembered as a nurturing soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—creating beautiful ceramics and crafts, cooking delicious meals, and embracing the great outdoors. An avid lover of nature, she found solace in the beauty of Alaska, where she cherished the thrill of fishing for salmon amidst the breathtaking scenery. Her heart extended to all creatures, as animals held a special place in her affections.
She devoted her life to her four sons—Kevin (Dotty) Branditz, David (Anne) Branditz, Jonathan (Melanie) Branditz, and her daughter-in-law Harweda Davis—always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. Charlene’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Marisa, Karly, Austin, Alex (Deborah), Ayden, Emma, Tylin, and her great-grandchild, Spencer, who were the light of her life.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Harriet Schaurer, son, Rob Davis, and sister, Karen Ralston.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th, 2026 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line). A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at 1:00pm at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
