Charles Glen Gay

Charles Glen Gay passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. He was born to Jasper and Lily Gay.

Charles loved to coon-hunt, fish, and in his younger years, he loved to drag race. He was very mechanically inclined and even helped build his son’s and grandson’s race cars.

He married Glenda (nee Paynter) Gay, and she preceded him in death in 2001. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Jeanette Gay, in 2016.

Charles is survived by his children, Kelvin (Patricia) Gay, Lisa (Allen Liebing) Sweet, Darin Gay, grandchildren, Wesley (Shanda) Gay, Staci (Eric) Mastin, Stephanie Sweet, BamBam Sweet, Robert (Lauren) Stanley, great-grandchildren, Carson Gay, Ruby Gay, Riley Mastin, E-Man Strong, LuBug Strong, Christopher Stanley, Cali Stanley, Willow Stanley, Ivy Stanley and many extended relatives and friends and his cat, Midnight.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, daughter, Paula Stanley, and granddaughter, Erin Stanley.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 28, 2024, from 12:00 noon until the graveside services begin at 1:00 PM, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton road 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, turn LEFT and follow the BLUE line to the funeral home.

Charles will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
