Daniel Kuhn

Daniel Cornelius Kuhn, born on June 14, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 88. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Daniel leaves a lasting legacy of warmth, humor, and resilience.

Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a commitment that shaped his character and instilled in him a deep sense of duty and service. After his military service, he enjoyed a fulfilling career as a pipefitter at BASF, contributing his skills to the chemical industry for many years. His work ethic and dedication were admired by his colleagues and reflected his lifelong pursuit of excellence.

In 2001, Daniel married the love of his life, Joyce Kuhn. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and joy. He is also survived by his daughter, Debra Dettone, step-daughter, Kristina Renae Hughes, and his grandchildren, Christopher Dettone, Jeanna Dettone, Roman Hughes, and Xavier Hughes.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Kuhn and Frances Reed, as well as brothers, Fred Timothy Kuhn, Richard Kuhn, and Thomas Kuhn.

Beyond his professional life and family, Daniel had a passion for shooting at local ranges, where he found camaraderie and enjoyment. He also loved the game of billiards, where he often showcased his competitive spirit and skill, and even enjoyed watching competitions on TV.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30^th, 2026 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line). A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at 1:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
