“To Dan’s family and friends, I have only known Dan for a few years. We shared many experiences in our respective navy times as boatswain mates. I called him Boats, a term of deepest respect and brotherly love. He was my barber and a dear friend. I am so sorry for your loss, the pain of which I share with you.”
