David Zachary Hand

In Loving Memory of David Zachary Hand

October 5, 1979 – July 7, 2023

David Zachary Hand, age 43, departed from this world on July 7, 2023, leaving behind a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. With heavy hearts, we announce his passing, but we also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

Zach was a loving son, brother, and friend. He was a source of strength and inspiration to those who were fortunate to be a part of his life’s journey. His caring nature and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many individuals.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Cheryl, and stepfather, Ted Kunkemoeller, who provided unwavering love and support throughout Zach’s life. His sisters, Leah Adams and Eleanor Hand, brother in law, Dan Adams, nephew and nieces, and extended family that shared a special bond with him, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

David’s father, Robert, preceded him in death, and we take comfort in knowing they are once again reunited.

A celebration of life (visitation) will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 5 pm to 7 pm at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, located at 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, follow the BLUE line to the funeral home. We welcome all those whose lives were touched by Zach to join us on this day to honor and remember him.

Services for Zach will be private. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

If you desire to share a written note or a photo, a box will be provided.  These notes can be memories, anecdotes, or anything that reflects the essence of who Zach was to you. These will be treasured keepsakes for his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to be made to either Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Cancer Society.
