A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Denise Loraine Pohlman, a devoted sister, beloved aunt, and cherished friend, who left this world on August 2, 2025. Denise was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she dedicated over three decades of service as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service.
Denise, known by many as DeDe, will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her love of music, especially the enchanting melodies of Billy Joel and Elton John. She shared many unforgettable concert experiences with her sister, Debbie, and had a passion for singing, which began during her school years as a cherished member of her school choir.
Beyond her love for music, DeDe was a devoted movie enthusiast, particularly fond of Hallmark films and the charm of Patrick Swayze’s performances. She found joy in reading romance novels, with Danielle Steel being one of her favorite authors.
A true family person, DeDe adored spoiling her nieces and nephews with gifts and treats, always ensuring that love and laughter filled their lives. Her heart also extended to her fur babies, Taffy and Bear, whom she cherished deeply.
DeDe’s adventurous spirit took her to breathtaking destinations, including Hawaii, Arizona, Florida, and the Panama Canal, where she made memories that will forever be treasured by her loved ones.
She is survived by her devoted siblings: brother Lyn Pohlman, sister Karen Pohlman and sister Debra (Tim) Johnson, her nieces and nephews: Frank, Tom, Jamie, Tim, Thomas, Traci, Will, Kim and a host of great nieces and nephews who will greatly miss her warmth and love.
