Diane Dunbar

Joy “Diane” Dunbar, 89, of Cincinnati, passed away on November 8th, 2025.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Jimmie Dunbar; daughters, Kathleen (Dan) Loudin, Carolyn (Ken) Buchner, and Beth Ann Thesken; grandchildren Andrea (Brent), Daniel, Justin (Brittany), Steven (Breana), Christian, and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Shayden, Mackenzie, and Alice; sister, Karen (Greg), and nephews, Andrew and Patrick.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Bill Lamb.

Words from her loving husband Jimmie:

Diane was my spiritual leader and sweetheart for 67 years. Moreover, she raised three beautiful children, taught Sunday school, and was devoted to her Chrisitan faith and family. She loved animals and was a long time supporter of the SPCA. In addition, she was plain spoken and her wit kept everyone laughing.

Before we were married, Diane worked at G.E as a secretary and after the girls were grown worked part time at McAlpins and Dillards.

Among the last audible words were “I love you too Jim.” I made the mistake thinking it meant she was going to get better however, I now realize it meant goodbye. Then the last audible words before she passed was “I want to go home.” That could be going back to our house or being with Jesus in Heaven.

If Jesus allows, I hope our family can be together forever.

Love, Jim
