Diane June Richardson

With heavy yet grateful hearts, we celebrate the life of Diane June Richardson, who passed away on April 12, 2025, in Cincinnati, OH. Born in Cincinnati on June 2, 1942, Diane lived a full and vibrant life, filled with laughter, love, and travelled across the globe as a dedicated travel agent.

Diane was a shining light in the lives of her family and friends. Her warm smile and caring nature will be remembered forever. A proud mother, she cherished her time with her children, Greg (Lisa) Borchers, Danny Borchers (deceased), David Borchers (deceased), Kristin (Kirk) Ayler, and Jason (Emily) Richardson. Diane’s love extended to her grandchildren: Crystal (Tim) Corbin, Joshua Blanco, Brooke Borchers, Austin (Whitney) Lucas, Kayli Lucas, Jacob Ayler, Paige Ayler, Cameron Scott, and her great-grandchildren, Faye Corbin and Ayden Corbin. She created a close-knit family where everyone leaned on and supported one another, especially during holidays filled with her famous mostaccioli and meatballs on Christmas Eve.

Those who knew Diane will remember her hobbies as well. She loved baking and decorating cakes as well as traveling, camping, and fishing with her late partner Jim Vollmer. In her younger years, she loved singing in the school choir and served her church, Hyde Park United Methodist Church, where she shared her joyful spirit with her church family. Diane had a passion for volunteering, connecting with the community, and spending quality time with her beloved dogs, Giz and Luca. Family game nights often featured intense Scrabble battles, with laughter ringing through the air.

Music was another source of joy for Diane. She adored singing along with the tunes of the Gatlin Brothers, Neil Diamond, and Kenny Rogers, filling her home with melodies that made memories even sweeter.

In celebration of her wonderful life, a graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the Garden of Acacia. We invite everyone who was touched by Diane to come together in remembrance of her radiant spirit, where we can share stories, laughter, and love.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Diane’s life to Hyde Park Bethlehem UMC https://hydeparkbumc.org/ or Hospice of Cincinnati https://hospiceofcincinnati.org/.

As we say goodbye, we find comfort knowing her legacy lives on each time we see a daisy bloom, the symbol of her vibrant spirit. Diane June Richardson will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we will always carry her memories with us.
