In Loving Memory of Dillard Creech

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Dillard Creech, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, who left us on August 20, 2023, at the age of 84. As we mourn his loss, we also gather to celebrate the remarkable life he lived.

Born on January 11, 1939, in Harlan, KY, Dillard was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He grew up amidst the rolling hills of Kentucky, where he learned the value of hard work, compassion, and the importance of community.
He married the love of his life, Betty Reeves, on October 31, 1958. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2018.
Dillard embraced his passion for mechanics and honed his skills as a mechanic at Penske Automotive.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dillard cherished the simple joys of life. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughter, Carole Frey, who brought immeasurable happiness and pride into his life. He treasured his role as a father, always ensuring that Carole felt loved, supported, and cherished. He is also survived by his dear friends, Ray Featherstone, Greg Hagl, and Gwen and Charles Jones; furbabies, Gracie and Phoenix; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, siblings Mary Davis, Paul Creech, and Raymond Creech.
Dillard was a proud Navy veteran, having served his country with honor and bravery. Enlisting on January 31, 1956, and honorably discharged on September 10, 1957, he achieved the rank of Seaman Apprentice during his service. Dillard’s patriotic spirit and love for his country remained unwavering throughout his life.
