Donald Paul Callaway, a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away at his residence in Greenhills, OH on November 7th, 2024, at the age 71. Born in Madison, IN on February 20, 1953, Donald touched the lives of all those around him with his larger-than-life personality and his love for laughter and good times.

Donald was a man known for his love of music, often seen playing the drums, guitar, and singing with his band, Waisted, in his younger years. He was a dedicated sales representative manager at Michael Tire, emphasizing his strong work ethic and commitment. Known for his humor and outgoing nature, Donald never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time at the bar playing pool, bowling, and softball.

As a father to Robert (Holly), Jamee (Ryan), Cara, Jessica (Morris), and Lil Donny (Jayme), step-father to Brandon (Angie) Shrewsbury, and grandfather to many grandchildren, Justin, Brionna, Shawn, Jerzie, Makayla, Chance, Yancy, Kailey, Ya’Miah, Lil Rob, Brennen, Kylen, and Raina, great grandchildren, Violet and Braelynn. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Callaway- whom he loved very much, siblings, Rick (Marilyn) Callaway, Barb (Carl) Plummer, and Sharon (Denny) Crutcher. Donald found joy in family gatherings, where he could share his love for cooking, wrestling, movies, and his affinity for plants, often showcasing his green thumb. His playful demeanor, jokes, and memorable catchphrases will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Jack Callaway.

A man who lived life to the fullest, Donald appreciated the simple pleasures in life, from spending time with his beloved dogs to flexing his muscles under the sun and enjoying the outdoors, especially fishing. He found humor in everyday moments and always brought a smile to those around him with his quick wit and infectious laughter.

Flowers will be accepted by the family or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support the family during this time.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Donald’s life at his Celebration of Life service on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. The service will be a reflection of his vibrant spirit and the impact he had on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. Donald’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, humor, and zest for life. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
