Donna Rae McCloskey, born on April 10, 1947, in Mariemont, OH, peacefully passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 77 in Cincinnati, OH. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Donna’s love for her family was evident in her every action. She found joy in cooking and preparing meals for her loved ones, infusing each dish with love and care. Her passion for crafting extended to her talent in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that will always be cherished. Donna also had a special place in her heart for her dogs, finding companionship and comfort in their loyal presence.
In her younger years, Donna embraced adventure, riding her motorcycle and navigating the waters on her boat at the lake. She found solace in nature, often taking peaceful walks that allowed her to appreciate the beauty of the world around her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 12:30-2:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the RED Line). A graveside service to honor Donna’s life will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens following visitation at 2:30 pm.
Donna will be deeply missed by her husband Dennis McCloskey, children Shannon Carey, Michael (Vera) Heverin, Dawn Breeden, Daniel (Shelley) McCloskey, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Glen Carpenter, sister, Sandy Devault, brothers, David Prall, and Steven Prall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Rachel Prall, daughter, Teresa Carpenter, brothers, Charles Prall, Robert Prall, and Larry Prall.
Memorial contributions in honor of Donna can be made to Mallard Cove Assisted Living, 1410 Mallard Cove Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45246.
Donna Rae McCloskey will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
