Dorothy “Dottie” Haskins, age 87, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Harlan and Jimmie Kathryn Harlan, and her loving husband of 61 years, Jack Haskins. She is survived by her three children, Melinda (Joe), Diana (Chris), and John (Jennifer); six grandchildren, Dylan, Jack, Ryan, A.J., Lucy, and Grace; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Dorothy attended Western Hills High School, graduating in 1956. She worked for AT&T and Western Electric for the next 8 years before retiring to start a family. She helped her husband Jack over the years with Accounting in the family business – Haskins Hitchen Post. Dorothy attended Dayspring Church of God and was a member of Gideons International. Her hobbies were boating & skiing with the family, gardening, bird watching, and attending her grandkids’ sporting events. She was a world traveler who visited many countries and most (if not all) U.S. states during her life, and made many lasting friendships during the course of her travels. Visitation for Dorothy will be Friday, March 21 from 10 am to 11:30am at Dayspring Church of God (1060 Smiley Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240) with a service to follow immediately after. Interment to follow at 1pm at Arlington National Cemetery.
