Dorothy Eleanor Johnston

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Eleanor Johnston, devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 7, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Eleanor lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Eleanor was passionate about antiquing, with a particular fondness for collecting country dolls. She enjoyed exploring the world through travel with her husband Tim, embarking on unforgettable cruises that created lasting memories. She cherished summer days spent by the pool, surrounded by her grandchildren-Myles, and Austyn, and great-grandchild Oliver. Eleanor also enjoyed spending time with her dear friends Pat and Brenda Murray.

Eleanor is survived by her loving daughter Denise (Jimmy) Abt, her cherished grandchildren Myles (Megan) Abt and Austyn (Samantha Sweeney) Abt, her great-grandchild Oliver “Ollie” Abt, and her brother William (Jamie) Henn. The bonds they shared were a source of strength and love throughout her life.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tim Johnston, her daughter, Renee Weber, and her parents, Frank and Lorraine Henn.

Per Eleanor’s wishes, there will be no public service.
