A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
We are saddened to announce the passing of Douglas G. McKinney, a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and skilled welder. Doug, as he was affectionately known, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 11, 1963, and peacefully left this world on September 1, 2024, at the age of 61.
For the past eight years, Doug worked as a welder for Cincinnati Fan in the industrial sector, leveraging his previous experience in masonry. He found great joy in spending time with his beloved dog Gizmo, always by his side. A man of faith, Doug found comfort in his relationship with Jesus and enjoyed listening to Bluegrass and Rock and Roll music.
Doug cherished his family dearly. He was married to his beautiful wife Jamie McKinney for 19 years, and they shared a deep bond. His passing is mourned by his siblings, Bobby (Angelita) Rowe, Gary (Sherrie) Rowe, and Jeff (Lisa) McKinney; his children, Joshua Metcalf, Heidi Perrine, and Lyndsey Frank; as well as his grandchildren, Hope Nicole Metcalf, Joshua Lee Metcalf Jr., Auna Fuller, Ondrea Frank, Zachary Perrine, and Dylan Looper. He also had an extended circle of family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Carol McKinney (nee Patrick), his brother Michael McKinney, and his son Eric McKinney.
In the warmth of fond memories, we invite all who knew Doug to join us for his services on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231 at 1:30 PM. Burial to follow in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount.
As we celebrate Doug’s life and legacy, let us remember him for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him. He joins his parents, Lonnie and Carol McKinney, his son, Eric McKinney, and brother, Michael McKinney, in eternal peace. May we find solace in the memories we hold dear of Doug, a remarkable man who will forever remain in our hearts.
