Edna Dolores Ellington

Mrs. Edna Dolores Ellington, age 91, passed away on November 21, 2023, in Florida.

Edna Dolores was born in Nicholasville, KY to Howard Floyd and Mary Alice (Blakeman) Floyd.

Edna Dolores married Ray Ellington, Jr., and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harold D. Floyd and sister-in-law Catheriine Floyd, and her grandson Michael Lee Ellington, II.

Edna Dolores is survived by her 6 children, Boneta Ray “Bonnie” Zaman, Harold, Raymond, Wanetta, Michael, and Matthew Ellington, 9 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and extended relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Edna Dolores Ellington will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens. Guests should meet at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231, at 11:30 to line up for procession. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, follow the BLUE line to the funeral home.


Edna Dolores will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations can be directed to a non-profit of personal choice, and flowers and/or cards to Ellington/Zaman Family, 1657 Hogan Lane, Florence, KY 41042.
