Obituary for Edward Bernard Landenwitsch Jr.
Edward Bernard Landenwitsch Jr., beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 12, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Edward lived a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others.
He made significant contributions to the accounting profession throughout his career, working with respected firms such as Engraf, St. Paul Insurance, and Lanny Holbrook. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant Second Class during the Vietnam War, a testament to his commitment and dedication.
Edward was a cherished family man, known for his unique tradition of creating ‘Top 100’ song lists each year. His family would gather to vote for their favorite songs, and he would compile these into a list culminating in a joyous gathering where the tunes were played and celebrated. Edward was also a passionate youth sports coach, imparting his love of sports to his children by coaching their softball, baseball, and basketball teams. He enjoyed golfing as well. Edward was a sports enthusiast, watching football, looking forward yearly to his fantasy football team, as well as Xavier University Basketball.
Together with his beloved wife, Beverly ‘Bev’ Landenwitsch, Edward enjoyed attending the Kentucky Derby, creating countless memories filled with joy and excitement.
Edward is survived by his cherished spouse, Bev; his sons, Edward ‘Eddie’ Landenwitsch III and Alex Landenwitsch; his daughter, Jennifer Landenwitsch; his brothers, Fred and Jimmy; his sisters, Dolly, Kimmy, and Michelle; his grandchildren, Sierra, Miriam, and Noh; as well as his great-grandchildren, Hazel and Ivy.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Landenwitsch Sr. and Viola Landenwitsch, and sisters, Mary Joy, Sherry, Vicky, and Linda.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2025 from 11:00am-12:00pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1830 W. Galbraith Road, North College Hill, OH 45239. Mass will follow at 12:00pm. Inurnment will take place at 1:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
May Edward rest in peace, knowing he was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
