Edward V. Ruble Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on September 21, 1944, in Soldier, Kentucky, Eddie was the cherished son of Edward F. Ruble and Beulah Mae Ruble (nee Webb), who both preceded him in death.

Eddie is survived by his wife Donna Ruble (nee Moore), and his sons, Edward Vaughn Ruble Jr. (fondly known as little Eddie) and Michael Shawn Ruble. His family tree flourished with the addition of three granddaughters: Ashley (Lyndon) Davidson, Crystal (Daniel) Jones, and Jessica (James) Ruble/Swafford, in addition to being the cherished grandfather of 11 great-grandchildren. He embraced a large and loving extended family, which includes four stepdaughters: Katherine (John) Endress, Suzanne Dodd, Samantha Bamburgh, and Elizabeth Tolliver. 

As the eldest of nine siblings, Eddie had a deep connection with his family, which included six loving sisters: Rosina (Tracy) Kreis, Regina (Jimmie Lee) Ashford, Ramona (Ronnie) Willison, Deborah Ruble-Smith, Denise (Terry) Phillips, and Deanna Ruble, as well as two brothers: Gary (Debbie Ruble) and Greg Ruble. His legacy of love was further enriched by a vast network of cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Eddie was an accomplished banjo player in his younger years, and his passion for Bluegrass music remained a significant part of who he was throughout his life. He found solace and joy in fishing, loved all genres of music, and had a special affinity for Western movies. His family and friends will forever miss him, and remember his wonderful sense of humor and the warmth he brought into their lives.  He adored his Mother, and it brings his family an assured comfort to know he is back in her arms, and the arms of Jesus.

A visitation in honor of Edward V. Ruble Sr. will be held on June 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, at Radel Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 650 Neeb Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45233. Eddie’s spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him dearly, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and a deep appreciation for family.
