In loving memory of Eileen Haggard, affectionately known as “Boots,” whose gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched the lives of so many. Eileen was born on June 6, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Edward and Amelia Armstrong. After a remarkable 96 years, she peacefully departed this world on July 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, a cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Eileen is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, the late Stanley Haggard. Together, they created a nurturing and loving home for their children, Vicki (Dave) Benedic and Gary (the late Liz) Haggard. Eileen’s legacy shines brightly through her cherished grandchildren, Westley (Elizabeth) DeBord and Kristin (Dustin) Dakel, and her proud great-grandchildren, Katie, Molly, Jamie, and Madisen. She was preceded in death by her six siblings, who she held dear in her heart. Eileen’s love and laughter will echo through the cherished memories held by her family, reminding all of the wonderful moments spent together.

Eileen’s values were deeply rooted in family. She found profound joy in caring for others, often babysitting from her home and showering her loved ones with love and delicious baked goods for every special occasion. Her legendary cakes became a cherished tradition at birthdays and weddings, each slice a reflection of her fondness and dedication to family celebrations. Eileen’s kindness extended to her many friends, whose lives were brightened by her gentle spirit and unwavering support.

In honor of Eileen’s life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45239. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00AM. We invite all who knew and loved Eileen to join together in remembrance, sharing stories filled with laughter, love, and lessons learned from a truly inspiring woman. Eileen Haggard will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends, and her memory will continue to inspire kindness and compassion in all of us. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared.
