Obituary via Spring Grove Funeral Home

Ethel Taylor Evans, 71, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024. Born on August 30, 1952, in Hamilton, Ohio, Ethel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her unwavering kindness and dedication.

Ethel graduated from Madison High School in 1970 and furthered her education at Christ for the Nations in Dallas, TX, where she earned an associate degree in theology in 1978. Her passion for serving others was evident through her work as a missionary and as a business partner in Evans Electric Company alongside her devoted husband, Thomas Evans.

She served faithfully in hospitality at Living Word Church and was an active member of the Women’s Group. She found joy in playing with her grandchildren, Sage and Elliot Furst, and loved cooking special meals for her loved ones. Even a simple trip to the grocery store was an opportunity for her to show care and attention.

Described as a servant to all, Ethel’s life was marked by excellence, integrity, and a deep love for the Lord and her family. Her home was a haven where everyone felt like family, and her dedication to hospitality and service extended beyond the home, where she cooked and provided for those in need at a variety of charitable organizations.

Ethel’s love for the simple pleasures in life, such as watching any sunset or enjoying a cold glass of unsweetened iced tea with a slice of lemon, is fondly remembered by those who knew her. Her legacy of love, loyalty, and unwavering faith continues to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ethel is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her children, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Nathan; her cherished grandchildren, Sage and Elliot; and her siblings, RC (Geneva), Betty, June, Fern (Charlie), Oral, and Gary (Judith). She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Rosa Taylor, and her siblings, Jean and Varney, and other loved ones who now welcome her into eternal rest.
