In Loving Memory of Florence Annette Roy

Born on August 10, 1932, in Jamestown, Kentucky, Florence Annette Roy transitioned from this world on September 20, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a life well-lived. Annette, as she was fondly known, was a dedicated and hardworking individual, exemplified by her determined spirit that led her to retire at the impressive age of 80.

Growing up on a farm in Jamestown before relocating to Cincinnati in 1953, Annette embodied a strong work ethic that she carried throughout her life. She began her career as a realtor, eventually serving as an assistant manager at Hilton Davis Credit Union. Her dedication and commitment were unrivaled, recognized by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Annette’s unwavering devotion extended beyond her professional life, as she cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. . She is survived by her loving daughter, Alice (Dennis) Richmond, her granddaughters, Amanda Richmond and Jessica (Nick) Brock, and her great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Lilianna Brock. Family was at the core of Annette’s existence, and her connection to her loved ones brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Throughout her years, Annette found solace and community within the church families she was a part of, underscoring her faith and the significance of shared beliefs in her life. A woman of grace and empathy, Annette will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and steadfast commitment to those she held dear.

Please join us in honoring the life of Florence Annette Roy at her funeral service, to be held at Epiphany United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 11:00 am. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 am. Following the service, a luncheon will be served. The funeral procession will depart at 1:30pm. Annette will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In her memory, let us celebrate the remarkable life of Florence Annette Roy and the enduring impact she had on all who were fortunate enough to know her. The Richmond’s wish to thank the loving staff at Otterbein and the dear friends of Annette. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Epiphany United Methodist Church or Hospice of Cincinnati.
